SOM GALLERY is pleased to announce AmonRyu's first solo exhibition “It's a blue world without you”.

Born in Tokyo in 1997, AmonRyu dropped out of high school in 2014 to embark on a journey. When he was 20 years old, he flew a drone at the Louvre Museum, which triggered his fascination with visual expression and led him to capture everyday life in video images. He have been creating works using video and photography as a way to explore his own personality. Currently, he works as a photographer and video director.

He explains his works for this exhibition as follows.
"I have doubted and pretended to be someone I am not.
What is my mission in this world?
I have been asking myself these questions.
I found fragments of words, combined them, and they somehow took shape. The question I asked myself, and the words I found gave birth to the imagination that I draw in my dreams.
